I still remember the exact moment when the idea of learning English first came to my mind — and it all started in the most unexpected way. I was watching a Moroccan movie called El-Bandiya, starring Saïd Naciri.
In one unforgettable scene, Naciri had to speak in English. His words were simple, but I was astonished by his courage. Everyone was waiting for him to fail, yet he spoke with confidence and determination. That moment truly inspired me — it showed me that speaking a foreign language isn’t just about words, but about courage and self-belief.
At the end of the scene, he declared that he had a bachelor’s degree in English studies at university. Back then, I had no idea what that even meant, but it sounded impressive and mysterious to me.
That scene stayed in my mind for a long time. It sparked my curiosity and made me want to understand the language that fascinated me so much. Step by step, I learned English — enough to study in the same field that once sounded like a dream. Eventually, I earned my own bachelor’s degree in English studies. It was truly a dream come true.
